NOSTALGIA Tango Bar

We believe that tango is more than just a dance... it is the passion, the music, and the people.  Our dear friend Carlos Caruso, an Argentinean pianist said, "Have you ever imagined how terrible life and the world could be without music? The particular sound of this place of the world where I was born and I live is the sound of the tango. I am very pleased to share it with all of you...".  To learn more about his work visit:  http://www.tangosbycaruso.com/ing/trayectoria.htm

'NOSTALGIA' Tango Bar aims to bring tango to everyone! Dancers and non-dancers gather to enjoy an evening of tango with family's and friends. Nostalgia Tango Bar features a wide collection of music from the traditional to the modern sounds of new tango.

Geraldine Rojas is a dancer that we adore for her natural talent and free spirit. As one of the most well regarded tango dancers in the world she still remains true to herself undeterred from the fame.

Tango Noticias recently interviewed Geraldine and her husband Ezequiel Paludi about their teaching, their views on tango and tango music. To read the article visit: http://www.tangonoticias.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=89&Itemid=43#p2

A Little Buenos Aires Guest Teacher - Manuel Alejandro

When most of the boys had gone to play football, Manuel's dream was to become a great Tango dancer.

Manuel Alejandro Albaracin was born in Colon, province of Buenos Aires-Argentina. At the age of 13, he joined the group Ballet de Tango founded by Roberto and Zulma an established Tango couple well known in Colon and Buenos Aires. Robert and Zulma's tango school had successfully natured many young dancers. Amongst them is Pablo del Greco the charming young talent who visited Sydney last year.

Under the guidance of Robert and Zulma, Manuel's talents grew and so did his recognition as a professional dancer. Since then Manuel Alejandro was invited to teach in Luna de Tango in Tokyo, Japan and has been teaching there for the last 2 years. At the age of 22, Manuel has travelled and performed in Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Chile and Japan.

Manuel has been a guest teacher with A Little Buenos Aires for the past two months. Here are some of the images captured during these Speciality Tango Workshops!

Contango's live performance at the 2007 Christmas Ball was nothing short of spectacular.
